Why is the city name showing GMT-X instead of GMT+X and vice versa?

POSIX compatibility requires that the offsets are inverted. Therefore, Etc/GMT-X will have an offset of +X and Etc/GMT+X will have an offset of -X. Please proceed with the steps below to override the default city name.

How to add a custom title

  1. Click the World Time action to open its settings.
  2. Check the box beside Show city's name on button.
  3. Enter your own title in the Custom Title field (highlighted in the image above).
